I Suffer not a Woman- Rethinking 1 Timothy 2:11-15 in Light of Ancient Evidence.

by Richard Clark Kroeger & Catherine Clark Kroeger

A must have for the serious Messianic student, this is a scholarly work on just what the title suggests.  The Kroeger's have done extensive research into the context of the Greek and gnostic communities in which Paul was teaching and ministering.  With this knowledge, 1 Timothy 2:11-15 is easily explained not as taking away authority for all time for all women, but rather as an injunction for the pagan, gentile communities steeped in gnostic thought and practice at that specific time and place.  Be prepared for quite a few paradym shifts with this outstanding resource!

The Ministry of Women in the Early Church and Synagogue

by Dwight Prior- Center for Judaic-Christian Studies

This is an excellent 2 disc audio CD which shows how women can be leaders in the Body of Messiah with no restriction.  Hebrew Roots teacher, Dwight Prior, begins with Genesis and the Adam and Eve account and ends with 1 Timothy 2:11-15 proving through scripture and historic evidence that women, with the annointing and gifting from the L-rd, can be called to any service.
